KSHSAA class 6a State championship

6A Bracket

Emporia State University

This year the 6A State Championships will be held at Emporia State University's Welsh Stadium. 

 The stadium is named in honor of ESU's long-time coach and athletic director. Welch guided the efforts of the Hornet football program from 1928-42, and then again from 1946-54. In those two spans, Welch won 115 games and is the all-time winningest coach in ESU football history.

8th Grade Information Night

Attention all incoming Olathe North Freshmen (current 8th Graders, class of 2030) interested in playing football at Olathe North High School during the 2026-27 school year


New Head Football Coach, Jason Peete, will be having an informational meeting for all potential players and their parents. Here are the details:


Where: Olathe North High School (Upper Commons)

When: Wednesday February 18th (2/18/26)

Time: 6:00PM

Who: future football players and their parents


Enter the Building on the North side, through the P Door and walk straight ahead and you will run into the Upper Commons.
